He’s abusive
If a man ever raises his hand to you, you dump him - there’s no two ways about it. But while your boyfriend has never struck you with his hand, his sharp tongue does some pretty mean damage.

When he’s in a bad mood, he insults you and belittles you. When you argue, he swears at you and calls you names like whore and slut. Not only is this behavior totally unacceptable; you should never let anyone, let alone your boyfriend, talk to you or demean you in this way.

If the two of you typically fight this way, where he swears at you and you swear at him, you still need to leave him because this is not the way a healthy relationship works. Respect for each other is a top priority and it’s obvious that, if you fight this way, you don’t have any for each other.

He makes you miserable
You find yourself becoming sadder and sadder with each passing day. Having this man in your life has taken its toll and you’re beginning to fall into a deep depression.

Whether he’s insulting you, ignoring you or belittling you, the fact of the matter is that if your man is making you miserable and being in his company is doing nothing for your morale, why the hell are you sticking around?

He acts like a child
If the two of you have an argument, he’ll disappear for 3 days without so much as a phone call. When he drinks, he gets hammered and starts yelling at you in public. If you don’t give him his way, he huffs and puffs and gives you the silent treatment.

A grown man should never display such childish behavior and if your boyfriend pulls any of this crap on you, you should give him his blankee and send him packing to his mommy.
